Wedge Wire Screens for Pulp and Paper Processing

How Screens Fail — and How We Prevent It

Fiber wedging at slot edges

V-wire continuous-slot geometry widens downstream — fibers release with shower and pressure pulse. Slot tolerance held tight to prevent oversize fiber pass-through.

Chlorine and chlorine-dioxide attack

SS 316L for bleaching plants; full-penetration resistance welds resist crevice corrosion at the wire-to-support interface.

Grit erosion in stock preparation

Heavier wire profile and reinforced support spacing tolerate sand and silica carryover from recycled fiber streams.

Cyclic load fatigue (pressure screens)
