FAILURE MODES & MITIGATION

How Screens Fail — and How We Prevent It

Blinding (slot blockage)

V-wire profile widens downstream — backwash, vibration, and shaker cycles release trapped fines. Open area maintained over years of continuous slurry service.

Abrasion of V-wire surface

Heavier wire profile and reinforced support bar spacing for high-abrasion service. Slot tolerance maintained where standard 304L panels would round out.

Slot widening under load

Resistance-welded V-wire to support bars holds slot opening within ±0.01 mm. PMI verification and slot-gauge inspection on every batch.

Corrosion in acidic leach circuits

SS 316L baseline for chloride exposure; Super Duplex available for sulfide and aggressive acid leach streams.
